Here's another one of Ipo as a baby
with Jimmy sitting next to our
bestest buddy and Steve's source of happiness. See how cool Jimjimi
can be? He knew how bad I was hurting from losing Kiki in the accident.
Normally he'd just be on autopilot but boy was he a comfort to me
during my time of grief. He would plop himself in my lap as soon
as I started crying like a baby over the loss of Kiki. I think he knew
that Kiki was the only reason I got him. You see...I never liked
cats before Jimmy. He's another one of the very special beings
to have touched my life in such a wonderful way. I adopted Jim
to keep Keekers company because she hated other dogs....
and Jimmy hated other cats......but they loved each other.
That's Bran on the couch and we just got
back from the beach....again.
This has got to be my all time favorite picture of Jimmy being cool. This
picture was taken when Jim was still young. He's almost 13 years old
now and weighs about 18 lbs. It is so funny watching him let Ipo
chase him around the house because all he's got to do is swat her but
I guess he loves her so much that he lets her get away with murder.
Jimmy has changed my outlook on cats as Bran has changed
my outlook on life. Just when you think you know it all too!
Here's Ipo my (other) babe. Bran's nickname for her is Ipolipogus.....
after Snuffy from Sesame Street. Remember the hat Bran was wearing in
the first picture? He carried her everywhere in that cap until she got
too big. She loves him as much as I do except I don't squirt when
I see him like she does. Ha Ha. Yo quiero Brandon-san.
This is a picture of Jimmy and Kiki. Kiki was a "once in
a lifetime"
canine companion as Brandon has become a "once in a lifetime"
lover/best friend. Kiki gave her life saving mine. I love her dearly
and will forever appreciate the ultimate sacrifice she made for me.
I look forward to seeing you again babe in the next world.
Thank you for the wonderful times and memories.
By the way....Kiki adopted me. She used to be my mom's
dog. She stayed over when my parents traveled and on
the 3rd stay she hid from my mom when they got back. When
she got home that night all she did was cry and sit by the kitchen
door waiting for me. I got a call at 3 AM from my mom telling
me to "pick up YOUR $#%*! dog she doesn't want us any more"
so I got dressed, picked her up and from then on Kiki owned me.
Jimmy was adopted as Kiki's pal for the few times I'd have
to leave her home alone. Funny...a dog that likes only
cats and a cat that only likes dogs. Ipo is like that too now.
I didn't like cats before but Jim changed all that. I forgot to tell
you
that Keekers was so special to me that we gave her a rose tattoo
on her inside left thigh and wore a real 18K gold anklet as a collar.
She was even featured in our hometown newspaper due to the tattoo.
In retrospect I've never really realized how well I have been
blessed with such special relations until my cyber-pal Justin
gave me the desire to share a bit of Bran and myself with him.
Now we've decided to share it with the rest of you.
I guess I'm one heck of a lucky guy...in spite of the bad things
that happened like the accident......Steve
Before we leave you I, Steve, would like to thank a very dear
friend who is honest, straightforward and caring. Thank you,
my close friend, who I hope to meet someday to personally
extend my gratitude. I will always be grateful for the strength
and courage you've shown me. You are the BEST Justin.
